After watching several videos on Shawn Adams, what stuck with me was how he preferred having portfolios that are neat, clean, and simple. He wasn't looking for some extravagant contraption, just something that could be used as a prop to convey talent. I also liked that he said that when talking to other professionals in different vocations the graphic artists were doing really well financially. That is something that steered me away from art before was the idea of being a starving artist, but it seems that's not the case, at least for graphic artists.

The take away's I got from Margo Chase was her dedication to her craft and her desire to deeply understand it's rich history. I thought it was really cool how she took us, the viewer, through her book collection to show the rich history of graphic design which she draws from. I thought it was really interesting to see the work she did in the music industry. I always enjoyed exploring those CD jackets when those were still used. What she said about art standing on its own and that it could be drawn upon at any time was cool. Mostly it seemed like the reason she stood so tall was because she was standing on the shoulders of the giants that came before her.
